Genetics and Weight-Loss
No matter whom you ask we all know genetics are a big part of weight-loss and weight gain for that matter. All of our bodies naturally burn calories at a set rate called metabolism. Each person has a different metabolic rate, the higher your rate of calorie burn in comparison to your weight usually the leaner your body is. There are people many of us know that can eat anything and don’t gain a pound. They pig out and stuff their faces with empty calories and show no signs of the horrible diet they are on. There are others of us that have to count every potato chip and pretzel to keep from bursting through our pants. This is the hand that fate has dealt us so we have to play it. There are many different body types and body shapes. Some peoples’ body shape and body type are more prone to gain large amounts of weight. Everyone isn’t blessed enough to be born with a body like Giselle Bundchen or Tyson Beckford. Their bodies are amazingly sculpted and look rock solid. We look at models and thumb our noses at them distastefully as if they were all born and remain the size they are purely because of genetics. The majority of people with beautifully in shape bodies work very hard and sacrifice a tremendous amount of pleasures to be able maintain the way they look. A six pack is not easy to get and is even harder to keep. Genetics may give you a body but dieting will help you keep that body.
“Making The Body You Want”
If you are not born with a perfect body and great genetics you are like the majority of the people in this world. You have to settle for plan B you weren’t one of those who were blessed with a great plan A, a beautiful body. What is plan B? Plan B is to work your butt off. So what if you weren’t born with that perfect shape, which is why they invented a gym. Arnold Schwarzenegger was not born the size he is now, he worked his butt off. The question to ask your self is how bad I want it. How bad do you want heads turning when you walk across the sand at the beach? How many eyes do you want on you when you are on the dance floor? Do you want to look good naked? If so, then it is time to sweat. There are hundreds of workouts and training videos available online and in stores. One of the first things you must do is adjust your diet to fit the lifestyle you are living. If you want to be in shape, if you want to be healthy, then you must eat a healthy person’s diet. More fresh fruits and vegetables and drink much more water. Also it would be a great idea to start to take vitamins and up your intake of nutrients. A great body is more than genetics; a great body is hard work and sacrifice. So you must ask yourself a very important question. What is your health worth to you?
