Hamstering Your Life Away
The sales on treadmills have been climbing yearly since the 80’s. Somehow the commercials of tightly clad body models running on these machines looking amazing are enough to convince some of us to spend thousands to bring this miracle invention home. During the first few weeks we are hamstering our lives away, running as fast as we can. At first it feels good to break sweat and sore legs must be a sign of progress. In the beginning we lose a few pounds but very quickly it tapers off. We have to run harder and longer to achieve the same results we were getting in the beginning. Treadmills and elliptical were never designed for dramatic weight loss. They were designed to help us strengthen our heart and the entire cardiovascular system. I’m not saying a treadmill cannot help us lose weight, what I am saying is it will take more than a treadmill if our goal is to lose a massive amount of weight. There are so many factors that come into play when it comes time to lose weight. If it took fifteen years to put on the weight we cannot expect to shed all that weight in fifteen days. Eating lettuce and drinking prune juice is not the answer. If we are in an extreme position we need to take drastic action. Turning anorexic or bulimic are both very dangerous endeavors and depriving the body of necessary nutrients can cause severe health problems. There are thousands of products we can take to help jump start our diets. Many of these products can be found online, just as we can find many exercises on you tube. There is so much information available on the web that we can compile an amazing health regime easily. We do not have to torture our bodies to lose weight, just exercise and change our diets.
“Shaving The Inches”
Life is a battle of inches just like the speech given in that movie “Any Given Sunday”. Life is about inches, inches in hair length, inches in height, inches on the waistline, inch by inch. The difference between a size 2 model and a woman that is a size 5 is a matter of inches. Yet the size 2 woman is a super model and the size 5 woman is working at k-mart. The inches are very important. The experts say the difference between being a run way model and being a background dancer is about 3 inches. To shave inches off of our waistline is not extremely difficult. Usually the first step is to flush some of the waste from our bodies with a gentle colon flush. We can pick up supplements online or from a local health store to replace some of the nutrients that will be flushed from our body. Then we must change our diet and eat healthier food. After the purging process is in full swing adding some light exercises will really accelerate the weight loss process. When we flush toxins from our body and fill our bodies with wholesome foods or body has a way of naturally finding a comfortable weight. Adding exercise and specific targeted workouts will help sculpt and shape the body and shave away inches.
