Sun Care Tips
All of us loved the warmth of the sun. The sun’s rays make us feel so alive. Sun exposure causes most of the skin changes, which we mistakenly believe to be a part of skin natural aging. Over exposure to the sun damages the fiber of our skin or the elasticity of our skin. When the elasticity of our skin wears off skin began to sag, and lost its aptitude to stretch again. The damaging effect of sun cannot be felt when you are young but later in your adulthood. Over time we always focus on the damaging effect of the sun so that we will be aware of like:
- Cancer causing, especially the skin
- Causes benign tumors
- Cause fine wrinkles, in fact also coarse wrinkles
- Freckles and blackheads
- Skin discoloration or melasma
- Breaking in of small blood vessels under the skin.
How we can protect our skin from the damaging effect it gives to our skin is simple. Always remember that no one not even the scientist can correct the damage once it is already visible. Of course the skin has the ability to repair by itself but regular damage will wears off the skins ability to repair by its own.
- Apply sunscreen with SPF 30 before sun exposure and every 1hour there after.
- Choose only sunscreen protector that offer UV protection.
- Wear wide sunglasses with UV protection.
- Use hats that have a wide brim to cover your entire face.
- Keep away from direct exposure to sun’s heat whenever possible. During 2pm to 4pm, this is the peak UV radiation of the entire day.
- Have a regular skin exam so that you will be familiar with existing growth like moles. Nodules, etc.
- As a parent it is our duty to educate our children how too much sun exposure can damage our skin.
- If possible avoid tanning beds. Tanning beds have a direct contact of UVA and UVB to your skin.
You see, summer is all about the sun and fun! The beach is the best place spending summer time. People come to the beach for many reasons, what ever reasons you may have, we all need to do one thing
- Bring UVA and UVB protector that is water resistant.
- Bring lip balm with SPF to keep your lips from burning
- Wear a wide brimmed hat to provide y shield while staying under the raging heat of the sun
- The hair should not be taken for granted, there are also sprays with UVA and UVB designed especially for hairs.
- Fever and colds and headache are often developing due sun exposure. Bring at least one or two headache tablets for emergency purposes.
